Must Have Colours This Summer
Colour trends of this year’s runway were a lot more diverse if not shocking. From hues of pastel pink to the yellows of marigold flowers, this summer’s fashion seems to be inspired from the nature itself. From pinks and corals to yellows and sky blues, this post will guide you through the colours trends of 2019.
Pastels:
Starting from pastel pink to the lavender, yellow and even green, the runways were filled with pastel shades of all things nature and spring. Whether it was Givenchy, Chanel or Mischka, each of the shows had more than one pieces in a pastel shade. Some of our favourite pastels were definitely shades of lavender, egg-yolk yellow and pastel pink.
Pinks And Corals:
More like the bright summer that we are used to seeing, shades of pink and orange corals, bright fuchsia pinks and deep mauves dominated some of the shows. Designers like Marc Jacobs, Claudia Li and Erika Cavallini showcased their beautiful designs on the runway, which looked even more beautiful in these bright shades of summer.
Earthy Tones:
Olive greens, browns and deep reds also made a considerable amount of appearance on the runway. These colours are mostly seen on the runway as well as the streets around the autumn. Their acceptance in the summer still hangs by a thread. Not very popularly, but still relevantly seen, these colours are definitely making their presence felt. Using these colours in innovative, summery silhouettes made these colours extremely wearable. Jil Sander, Erika Cavallini, and Valentino were some of the many designers who used these colours.
Yellow:
The brightest of them all, and definitely most loved of them all, this summer’s dominating colour to trend is marigold yellow. Considering the past few seasons, shades and variations of yellow have been repeatedly seen on and off the runways and we have still not had enough of the colour. This season, the hues of marigold yellow - vermillion, ochre and other similar shades, will dominate the streets as well as your wardrobes.
