How To Wear Pantone’s 2020 Colour Of The Year!
Pantone’s is yet again ready for the next decade and recently declared the colour of the year 2020. After last year’s “Living Coral”, we were only thrilled to know that this year’s choice is “Classic Blue”. The colour from last year disappointingly did not cut it through and gradually vanished. This year’s classic blue is expected to make a startling statement in fields of fashion, graphics and much more. The blue is described as “elegant in its simplicity” by Pantone. It is a colour that reminds some of calm skies and others of a moody sea shore. No matter how you look at the colour, it always has something relatable to say to each one of us. The safe choice is already making headlines in the fashion industry as well as out on the streets. Here are some of the ways you can wear this classic colour.
THE CLASSIC OVER COAT
We need to get over our beige obsession already and get on board with classic blue. This blue will make you feel stable, calm, secure and in control. Kick off the new decade by wearing an oversized coat or a structured blazer in the colour. The best thing about this colour is that it gives you an opportunity to play around with texture. You could wear a woven blazer or a worn out coat, the choice is all yours.
MIDI DRESSES
Midi dresses remind us of the 80s fashion and its modern take is exactly what we needed. Printed dresses with power shoulders and combining red and blue floral patterns are some ways you could be wearing this trend. The softness that these prints will bring to an otherwise bright colour will make you stand out and look stylish.
JAILOR JUMPSUITS
Bulky clothes are trending on its own just as well as the colour blue itself. Combing the two will give you an edgy, statement look. The head to toe in blue look makes it a point to make a sophisticated colour be so quirky and bright.
CO-ORDINATED ELEGANCE
If you have more of an elegant style, wearing the colour through co-ordinate sets will help in making up your mind about it. The colour can be bright sometimes however, if you wear it in a matching set, it will tone down the impact of the colour. You can style skirt sets and pant suits beautifully.
POP OF ACCESSORIES
If you are not ready to go all out, incorporating this colour into your outfit through accessories is a brilliant idea. You could use a silk scarf, a blue belt, a classic bag, bright sunglasses, latex boots or leather pants, the options can go on and on. We don’t know how far this colour will into the year of 2020, but we do know, it’s a colour style icons are already loving and wearing!
