Is Yellow This Season’s Black ?

It has been quite a few months, rather years since the arrival of sunset yellow hues on the runway. After millennial pink, this seems to be the color of the Gen Z. Season after season, the runway shows off a different variation of the same color and we fall in love with it all over again. For the SS’19 shows, designers like Carolina Herrera and Brandon Maxwell showcased their talent in marigold yellows. In fact, this color alone can unite the fashion of the entire world. People and celebrities from all over the world have been spotted wearing the color. Here are some of our favorite looks that are sure to give you summer inspiration.

Sonam Kapoor:

Sonam Kapoor attended the Cannes Film Festival 2019, as a regular. Along with the festival, she also attended the launch of Chopard’s new collection of perfumes called – the Garden of Kings.

Wearing a custom made Ashi Studio couture dress; she looked like a refreshingly positive ray of sunshine.

Constance Wu:

The Crazy Rich Asians star wore a custom made Versace dress to the 2019 Oscars. However, the use of the color was less of a trend and had a more personal significance for Constance. The inspiration behind the look was the director, Jon M. Chu’s letter to Coldplay about using their hit “Yellow” in the movie. Nevertheless, the look was a delight and will surely inspire you.

Deepika Padukone:

Deepika Padukone, wore a bright yellow, vintage Zac Posen at the Met Gala, 2019, after party. This look was not only vintage on one hand, but also quirky on the other hand.

Kareena Kapoor:

For her first ever episode of the new season of Dance India Dance, Kareena Kapoor Khan wore a Stephane Rolland piece. She styled it with a roped braid and minimal accessories. This look was definitely experimental for Kareena and an eye candy for us.
