Wedding Trends Of 2019

The India Couture Week 2019 showcased some of the most brilliant concepts through their designs. Even though couture is something that not all of us can afford to wear for weddings, we can definitely pick up inspirations and the trends of the coming wedding season.  From dhoti pants to feathers, there were so many unique features that we loved this season. If you cannot wait to try them out for the season, read on. Whether a guest, a bridesmaid, or the bride herself, we have a trend for every role that you might have to play!

Subtle Over Shimmer:

This year the Indian couture runway saw more of heavy embroideries and less of shimmer and sequence. A bride would off course need more of shimmer in her outfit to stand out. The other outfits, however, used colourful embroidery to draw attention towards the detailing. Following up with the day wedding trend, the ensembles will look more extravagant in the day time.

Florals And Pastels:

The inspiration was different for each designer however the use of floral motifs was constant. Whether it was the mosaic patterns of Pankaj and Niddhi or the colourful motifs of Rahul Mishra, flowers are definitely trending this season. Pastel shade, more specifically, pastel pink was seen most dominantly. Pastel green or pistachio green also made its presence noticeable.

Monochromes:

Gone are the days of contrasting choli and lehengas. They have been replaced by monochromes. Wearing the exact same colour on top and bottom, is a trend that we personally love. Instead of playing around with colours, you can experiment with prints. Adapt the print on print trend in your ethnic wear and you will be good to go!

For The Bride:

Just like the bride herself, it’s important that the trends for the bride stand out too. In this case, any of the outfits can be worn by the bride too, but the show stopper outfits were made exclusively for bridal wear. All red outfits are trending as much as its contrasting counterpart – all white. Follow the trend and you will definitely look absolutely stunning on your special day.
